SAC hut tour: To the Ringelspitz and Calanda huts
Hiking Tour
The trail first leads via the Lavoitobel to the Ringelspitz hut, where you get your first insight into the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Sardona. After the first overnight stay, you start the next day and hike over the Kunkel Pass towards the Calanda Hut. On the Kunkel Pass, you can find out more about the Sardona World Heritage Site in an information room.
During your second overnight stay in the Calanda hut, enjoy the atmosphere of the sunset as the peaks slowly sink into the twilight of the night in their glowing light. Sunrise near the hut or on the Calanda summit is also a special experience as night turns back into day. On the third day, you descend to Chur.
Optional:
If you still have enough strength and energy, you can climb the summit of Haldensteiner Calanda 2805m.a.s.l. (T3) before descending to Chur. A further ascent of approx. 800 vertical meters is rewarded with a wonderful panoramic view. Detailed information about the summit tour can be found here.
