Lola Keiser, born in the port city of El Grove (Galicia / Spain), in Switzerland since 1984, in Northwestern Switzerland since 1992, living in Basel, says:

In her work, the artist prefers the abstract interpretation of impulses and perceptions - she draws her inspiration primarily from nature.

For Lola Keiser, painting is an encounter with feelings and colours. She experiments with brush movements, colors, lines, shapes and textures. She uses acrylic paints, pigments and ink as materials, but also wax or charcoal - alone or in mixed media on canvas or wood. Colour harmony and radiant balance as well as depth in the picture characterize her works. Abstract, powerful images invite you to linger and interpret.
