Snowshoe round tour Brambrüesch - Pradaschier

This tour over the Dreibündenstein connects the regions Chur and Lenzerheide for snowshoe hikers. Great views and an optional downhill experience at the end make it an insider tip. The attractive round trip ticket includes all trips with the mountain railways as well as the return trip by bus or train.

From Brambrüesch you first walk over picturesque Alps and marvel at the panorama with the mountains around Arosa, Schanfigg and Lenzerheide. Through the forest the trail continues to the clearing at Spundis, where the view to the other side comes to the fore. The Tödi sits enthroned on the horizon, while the Calanda massif and Ringelspitz dominate the scenery on the way up. Soon the next destination is approaching: the Hühnerköpfe at the Furggabüel chairlift. Unterneath the lift we head for the summit destination. The historical Dreibündenstein, border point of the former three Rhaetian states, stands at the centre of the trail. A 360° panorama is the order of the day: Heinzenberg, Safiental, Vorderrhein- and Hinterrheintal, Vorab, Falknis, the Rätikon massif and the mountain ranges of Arosa, Lenzerheide and Davos. At the highest point (Furggabüel, 2174 m) there is a panorama board, which gives information about names and heights of the surrounding peaks as well as about the highly visible mountain ranges of the Tectonic Arena Sardona (UNESCO World Heritage).

The descent leads relatively flat over the plateau to the winter sports area Pradaschier. From there it continues near the slopes to the top station of the chair lift, where the mountain restaurant Pradaschier is also located. Down to Churwalden, you can then float comfortably with the chairlift - or, optionally, rapidly with the longest toboggan run in Switzerland. The return journey from Churwalden to Chur is finally by post bus.

This tour is signposted in both directions with the inscription GR2.
