The toboggan run on Chur's local mountain offers fun for the whole family. From the top station Brambrüesch to the middle station Känzeli it leads from fast to comfortable with a magnificent view. An insider tip is evening sledging, preferably in combination with a fondue in one of the mountain restaurants.
The sledding adventure starts at an altitude of exactly 1000 metres above the canton capital, either directly at the mountain station or alternatively a little down from there near the ski lift. The slope features fast downhills, sweeping curves and some straight and relaxing passages, as well. On these particularly you are able to enjoy the panorama into the Grisons alpine world: The pristine Schanfigg valley with its Walser villages literally lie at your feet and on the right side of the valley, the Arosa Weisshorn is well visible.
Thanks to the even slope, the sled run is ideal for families and children. As the grand finale before the finish line at the Känzeli mid station, the view once more trails over the valley deep down to Chur below.
Whether alone or in pairs on a sledge, what could be better than to ride on a well-prepared toboggan run through the snow-covered winter landscape. And all this only 15 minutes away from the city centre of the Alpine City Chur!
In addition to single tickets, day tickets and 4-hour tickets, there are also attractive tickets for families and single families.
Sledges can be hired for CHF 8.00 at the valley station in Chur, the sledges are then handed out at the top station of the 4-seater gondola at Brambrüesch. In addition, an ID card or a credit card must be deposited as a deposit (rental directly at the top station at Brambrüesch only possible against cash deposit of CHF 50.00).
No reservations possible for individuals, for groups on request.
Every Saturday between mid-January and the beginning of March (2021: 9. January - 6. March), evening sledging takes place on the 4-seater gondola and aerial cableway until 10 pm. The toboggan run is not illuminated, it is recommended to bring a headlamp.
The fondue fun includes the mountain railway ticket Chur-Brambrüesch return and the fondue in the mountain restaurant (reservation required). You can enjoy fondue fun in the Battagliahütte, the Malixerhof, the Bergbaiz and the Edelweisshütte.
