Sternahaus

Sterna is Romanesque and means "litter", i.e. grass that the cows do not eat and is therefore used for littering in the barn. It is the field name of the meadow below the house.

The building was built in 1926. Because the pastor at the time wanted to take in orphans, it was planned particularly generously.

As early as 1932, the Bündner Kindererholungsheime Foundation took over the house. Up to 48 children stayed in Feldis for a cure in the following years.

From 1964, the house was run as a special school home. In 1967 and 1968, the pavilion was added and the gable roof of the old rectory was raised to a flat roof.

In 1987, the Sternahaus cooperative was founded, which leased the house as a pension.

From 2011 Dominik and Daniela Hächler leased the house, since 2014 they are owners and run the hotel as a 1-star hotel. Which brings us back to the stars.
