Book launch with Margrit Cantieni

Franka rebels against her impoverished, broken family and against the narrowness of her Graubünden village. At the age of eighteen, she dreams of freedom and adventure. Secretly, she travels after the shady Henry, who wants to open a bar in Casablanca. When the local authorities find out about it, they do everything they can to get Franka back. They accuse her of an unstable, dissolute life. Franka is placed under guardianship and sent to a children's home. She manages to escape. But the authorities do not leave her in peace. The novel is set in the 1960s and is based on a true life story. The setting of the action is Graubünden, Bad Ragaz, Casablanca, Bern, Nice.

After training in business administration, Margrit Cantieni worked in the cultural, social and commercial sectors before devoting herself entirely to writing. In 2009 she founded Cancas Verlag. In 2020, her debut novel "Nicht von hier" was published, and in 2023 the novel "1941. Margrit Cantieni is married and lives in Chur.
