The secular building was spared in the city fire of 1574. Since the alliance of the Grey League with the Courts of God, it has served as a place of residence and assembly. It changed ownership from the Disentis monastery to the Reformed Church of Chur and served as the official residence of the main pastor of Chur - the Antistes.
