On this evening, Franz Hohler will guide you through his rich literary oeuvre. In his stories, reality dissolves imperceptibly and gives way to events that elude our cool logic. With an unusually alert eye for unsettling details, he tells of the fragility and tragicomedy of our everyday lives, but also of his poetry. Although Franz Hohler is an expert on Graubünden, which he describes in several works, this reading is also intended to be a window on Swiss literature. An evening with an enigmatic critic.
Franz Hohler was born in Biel in 1943. He now lives in Zurich and is considered one of the country's most important storytellers. Hohler has been awarded numerous prizes, most recently the Alice Salomon Prize and the Johann Peter Hebel Prize.
