The two drummers play together for the first time and throw balls to each other with a hodgepodge of extraordinary instruments and unconventional sound generators. The music arises spontaneously in the moment, and is full of surprises. The singing, poetic or even funny qualities of their instruments are particularly astonishing. The result is a completely independent musical language that balances virtuosically between formal stringency and anarchic outbursts and in which the irrepressible playing mood of the two comes into its own.
