Anna and Eva, jazz and classical music - the focal points are different, but they are united by their passion for music; and the desire to make music together as sisters. Together they immersed themselves in the versatile classical and jazz universe and searched for pieces that are related in tuning. Melodies by Borodin and Edward Grieg, sounds by Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel or compositions by Thad Jones and Charlie Parker inspired her arrangements. These arrangements merge classical and jazz, break through familiar forms and leave room for improvisation.

In his latest project "Fallen Crooner", the German-Romanian double bass player and composer Robert Lucaciu defragments his cisgender self-image and also challenges his fellow musicians to engage in a pleasurable discourse on gender roles. In a montage of original compositions, well-known songs and text sequences by various authors, free improvisation repeatedly forms a central element - the questioning of the moment with an open outcome. The result is a musical discussion whose strength lies in living the questions in all their force and dissolving the urgency of quick answers into benevolence.

For Saitenwechsel, the second Senza Peso evening, the Italian guitarist and composer Franceso Diodati could be engaged. Through his playing, he enriches projects by Paolo Fresu or Enrico Rava, among others, but he is also at home in experimental music. The second guitarist is the Swiss musician Philipp Schaufelberger, who understands like no other how to elicit concise, unusual and challenging sounds from his instrument and put them at the service of the collective.
Senza Peso wants to get to the bottom of the question of what makes a strong collective. For this purpose, the composer and double bass player Luca Sisera, who has been working internationally with his collective Roofer for over 10 years, has composed a graphic score that leaves a lot of room for interpretation and design. For this project, Sisera has invited musicians from all over the world who aspire to create shared, innovative and sustainable experiences. In addition to the changing guests, Sisera is supported by his Roofer rhythm section with Yves Theiler on piano and Michael Stulz on drums.
