One stands in front of his electronics, turns knobs and hammers on keys. The other drums himself in ecstasy. When Marc Jenny meets drummer Lucas Niggli with his Soundwalker, the booth takes off.

The electronic musical instrument, developed by Soundwalker Marc Jenny himself, can process live recorded sounds in a variety of ways. At the duo concert at JazzChur, Lucas Niggli will provide both sound inputs and impulses with his colourful and highly energetic drumming - and at the same time react to Marc Jenny's sound universe. From drums, cymbals, gongs and other percussion sounds, new worlds of sound emerge on the edge of the abyss: gnarly beats, shaggy pads, wafting basses, flickering, squeaking, subtlety.

Marc Jenny is known at JazzChur above all as a bass player who likes to improvise, who repeatedly sets pointed musical impulses in various collaborations. The internationally renowned drummer Lucas Niggli successfully moves between improvised and contemporary music - always open to new things, blessed with enthusiasm and the explorer gene.

Now both are once again on stage together. The audience can expect an intense sound journey from two highly present improvisers – full of surprises in the truest sense of the word!
