The GR86 starts in the Alpine town of Chur and goes over the Dreibündenstein down to Churwalden and back up to Lenzerheide. From Lenzerheide, the route leads over the Parpaner Rothorn over to the Hörnli and up to the beautiful Arosa Weisshorn. Then it goes downhill to Arosa, past the bear country to the Walser settlement Medergen, to Langwies im Schanfigg and up to Hochwang. From Pagig it goes over the other side of the valley to Calfreisen, where it goes via Maladers back to Chur.
